1. Checking all exterior door functionality, closers, auto lock, close time, frame and door integrity. Includes ADA requirement inspection. A door must open with 5 lbs or less of force and close within 5 seconds to move from 90 degrees open to 12 degrees from the latch. Door handles should be lever-shaped or U-shaped pulls that can be operated with a loose grip or closed fist. Round doorknobs are not compliant.
2. Checking any ground windows that open for proper functionality.
3. Perimeter fence gates functionality, closers, auto lock, close time, frame and door integrity.
4. 9-1-1 functional check and address verification for each facility.
5. Panic alerts buttons or telephones for direct dial 9-1-1, and proper function. Must notify appropriate personnel, staff, law enforcement. (3 locations)
